3d Printable Tombstones & Cemetary Props
Below is a gallery of a compilation of set peices and props being used in a graveyard scene for stop motion film.
Everything you see here can be found available for purchase in 3d printable format ( .stl) for your own projects here!
Knife Project
I started the knife project with an orthographic reference photo taken from a Koster Knives blueprint for the Bushcraft Folder as shown below. I started with an extremely low poly base and gradually worked up to a decent level. After splitting parts appropriately to make this piece work for 3d printing at higher subdivisions, I then exported out both the low and high poly meshes in an archive. Start to finish this project lasted only a few hours, where forming the actual geometry only took about one hour.
Quick box modelling excersize I did. Final version is 3d printable
Armature Skull
This was a wonderful project to work on, because it was something I'd never done before. I had to learn the "in's and out's" of the whole 3d printing world in the timespan of this project. I picked up on many techniques and honed in on being able to optimize the geometry for best printing as well as prevent some possibly print fatal mistakes like heat pockets and bubbles from forming. This particular skull took quite a few tries to get right, but then again it had to be the centerpiece of the film, therefore it HAD to be perfect. It took a total of 7 revisions before we settled on the final piece, which I do not currently have a photo of as the printer and videographer is in another state. The final version and film will be available within the coming months.

3d Printable Heart Shaped Ring
I made this ring for Myminifactory.com's valentines day competition, however, I guess due to client/server side issues they never recieved the entry. That aside, I made this ring with an inner diameter to match an average womens size 7 (roughly 17mm) and is fully 3d printable and water tight.
Back to the Future - Party Prop Piece
This was the design process inside of zbrush. I bounced between zbrush and 3ds max to get everything ready for the print process.
This was the print stage, we ran into a few hiccups with sizes being off slightly on a few of the quad pieces, but we were able to ultimately work it out.
